Our Services

Below you’ll find the different services that I offer. Feel free to visit the menu page to see a full list of the dishes that can be selected with these plans.

Learn-to-Cook-Party with Friends

Love getting together with friends or family over food but hate to cook or don’t know how? Try new real foods and learn to love the creative side of cooking while having a fun lunch or dinner with friends.

How it works

Invite up to 6 people and decide on the date, time (3-5 hours), place, and menu. I will come to the host(s) home and hold a group cooking lesson/demonstration, according to the meal selected. After everyone shares in the preparation and cooking, the meal will be plated up to enjoy. Depending on what is selected for the session, instruction will also be provided on how to store leftovers to maximize dining pleasure and minimize time spent in the kitchen.

A full list of dishes can be found on the menu page. Food costs are not included in the hourly lesson rate. Serving sizes are that which you would expect in a fine dining restaurant.

Sample menu and approximate food costs for a 6-person meal
Spatchcocked rosemary lamb $35.00
Roasted asparagus $6.36
Boniato Buttons $9.60
1/2 gallon ginger water kefir $9.50
Total estimated food costs: $60.46
Instructional hourly rates
  • One-on-one personal cooking coaching $50.00 per hour (min. 3 hours)
  • 2-3 people in group session $40.00 per hour (min. 3 hours)
  • 4-6 people in group session $30.00 per hour (min. 3 hours)

In the above example, cost of menu food ($60.46) + 3 hours of instruction for 6 people @ $30.00 per hour ($90.00) = $150.46. If sharing the cost between your six friends, individual cost for a fabulously fun time over delicious good-for-you-food would be $25.07.

“Batch-Cook” Party with Friends

Love eating certain specialty food items but don’t want to be slaving away by yourself in the kitchen to make them? The “Batch-Cook” Party with Friends service may be just what you or someone you know is looking for. Just like the old saying “many hands make light work” goes, if you have friends over to make those tostones or boniato buttons with you, a good time is had while producing some of your own favorite when-other-people-make-foods to dole out to yourself from your refrigerator/freezer at a later time.

How it works

Invite up to 4 people (depending on the kitchen capacity of the host) and decide on the date, time (3-5 hours), place, and menu.

I will come to the host(s) home and hold a short class to go over best preparation techniques and storage methods for the food item(s) selected. After the division of labor decision(s), everyone shares in the preparation and/or cooking and storing of item(s). Depending on what is selected for the session, a prepared meal (charged separately) brought in by instructor could also be served.

A full list of dishes can be found on the menu page. Food costs are not included in the hourly lesson rate.

Sample menu and approximate food costs for 4 people
Boniato Buttons for 4 people ($9.60 x 4) $38.40
Total estimated food costs: $38.40
Instructional hourly rates
  • One-on-one personal cooking coaching $50.00 per hour (min. 3 hours)
  • 2-3 people in group session $40.00 per hour (min. 3 hours)
  • 4-6 people in group session $30.00 per hour (min. 3 hours)

In the above example, cost of “batch” food ($38.40) + 3 hours of guided instruction for 4 people @$30.00 per hour ($90.00) = $128.40. If sharing the cost between your four friends, individual cost for a fun productive time (each person is walking away with 30-40 food items) would be $32.10.
